Claude can now make documents, slide decks and designs on every plan, including the free one. You can share them, download them as PowerPoint or PDF, and edit them in the Claude phone app.
Anthropic announced it on October 8. These tools are now out of beta, which means they are finished and ready for everyone.
What can you do with them now?
- Share them. Send decks and designs to people outside your company. You can also share with anyone who has the link, if your admin allows it.
- Download them. Save as PowerPoint or PDF, and your formatting stays the same.
- Move a deck to Google Slides. It arrives as a file you can still edit.
- Edit on your phone. Open a doc, deck or design in the Claude mobile app and change it there.
How do you make one?
Open Claude and tell it what you need. Anthropic's own example is: "Turn these notes into a deck for Monday."
That's it. You talk. It builds.
Try this: make a workshop deck, then polish it in line
Imagine if you fixed up your next free workshop deck while you stood in line at the bank.
First, make the deck in Claude. Type:
I'm teaching a free 30 minute workshop for [who you help] about [your topic]. Make me a 10 slide deck. Slide 1 is the title. Use one idea per slide and short words. End with one slide that tells people how to work with me.
Then open the deck in the Claude phone app and look it over while you wait. Ask for changes like:
Make slide 4 a simple list of 3 steps.
When you are home, download it as PowerPoint to present. Or save it as a PDF and send it to everyone who signed up, as their handout.
What else came out the same day?
Two new tools are in beta:
- Claude Dashboards builds a live dashboard from your business data, like Salesforce, and keeps it up to date. Each chart shows when its data was last refreshed. It is on the paid plans.
- Claude Motion turns your words, charts and pictures into a short animated video. You type /motion in the message box and describe what you want. Then you download it as an MP4 video file. It does not make AI people or fake footage. Right now it is only on the Team and Enterprise plans.
What should you watch out for?
Read every slide before you present it. Check names, numbers and dates. Claude makes a fast first draft. You make it right.
The bigger picture
Here's the thing. You do not need a desk or a design program to make something that looks finished anymore. Your idea can be a real, polished deck by the time you reach the front of the line.
